Welcome to the Website of the 27th International IMCoS Symposium September 6-9, 2009 Oslo, Norway The theme of the Symposium is “The Mapping and Exploration of Norway and the North.” With its speakers from Norway and other countries, the hosting of Norway’s National Library and State Mapping Authority, and visits to museums and other sites (and sights!), the Symposium program will provide a wonderful experience of Norway and a fascinating review of its cartographic tradition. This website provides more information about the Symposium, including details of the program, the speakers, and the optional post-Symposium trip to the north of Norway and the fjords along the west coast.
